Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero's ever-growing roster of fighters in the upcoming arena fighter continues to expand, with the recent confirmation of four classic characters from the earlier parts of the first Dragon Ball and DBZ animes.

Kid Goku, Piccolo, Master Roshi, and Yamcha Join the Roster
In a recent BiliBili post by Bandai Namco, four additional characters were revealed for Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero, including Master Roshi, Yamcha, Piccolo, and Kid Gohan. While some characters like Roshi and Piccolo were previously teased in trailers, Bandia's announcement showed different versions of these beloved characters.
Yamcha, a main antagonist in the Dragon Ball manga and later a supporting character in both the shows and sequels DBZ and Super, was shown wearing the iconic orange gi and performing his signature Spirit Ball technique. Kid Gohan is the younger version of Gohan, series protagonist Goku's son. He is the first hybrid (half-Earthling, half-Saiyan) to appear in the series.
Meanwhile, Piccolo was shown performing the Mouth Energy Wave technique and had on his King Piccolo outfit with the indigo gi, as well as his turban. Master Roshi, the revered martial arts master, rounds out this lineup of confirmed characters, having trained several prominent characters in the series.
Sparking Zero Brings Back Budokai Tenkaichi Gameplay
Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero is set to feature gameplay reminiscent of the Budokai Tenkaichi series, offering players a dynamic fighting experience. With a third-person camera perspective, players can execute various techniques and abilities, including Blast Skills, Rush Attacks, and Beam Rushes.
Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero promises to reintroduce the franchise's signature massive cast of playable characters, drawn from the rich lore of the Dragon Ball manga and anime. The game is ushering in a theme based on 'Power vs. Speed' and 'Master-and-Student'.
