Dragon Ball FighterZ Rollback Beta Test Finally Here

After Multiple Delays, No More Delay

The popular anime fighting game Dragon Ball FighterZ will be in open beta for its newly implemented rollback netcode feature, exclusively for PC from November 30 to December 10. The new feature is in place to significantly reduce lag during online games, which is essential for fighting games that rely heavily on timings and reflexes. Some of the newest modern fighting games, such as Street Fighter 6, Guilty Gear Strive, and Tekken 8, all run on rollback netcode. This test comes a year after its announcement back in August of last year during EVO 2022. After several delays, it’s finally on track for an official release.

This was announced by the official Twitter (X) account of Dragon Ball Games. Tomoko Hiroki, the game’s producer, is seen in the featured video of the tweet, revealing the game’s new update with the well awaited feature. She also extended her apologies for making fans wait for so long. She stated “We have been working hard to build a satisfying environment, and now that we are finally ready to share with you, we would like to hold a Public Beta Test on Steam.”

Rollback Coming to Next Gen

Dragon Ball FighterZ will release next-gen versions of the game with rollback netcode already implemented. The next-gen upgrades will be free for previous owners of the PC, PS4, and Xbox One versions. However, rollback is not coming to Switch owners of this game.
