⚫︎ Supermassive Games dropped a live-action trailer for Directive 8020 at the Future Games Show Spring Showcase 2026. The couch co-op developer presentation highlighted gameplay, in-game cutscenes, and quick-time events that force players to make choices with irreversible consequences.

⚫︎ Supermassive Games confirmed the release date for Directive 8020, which will be on May 12, 2026. A new trailer showcased snippets of crew members running away from mutated flesh in their space station. The sci-fi horror's signature choice-based system was also teased.

⚫︎ Directive 8020 unveiled 13-minute-long prologue gameplay at Gamescom 2025. The video showed two characters, Carter and Simms, who were repairing damage on their spaceship. However, things suddenly go sideways as Simms gets hurled into space and out of reach.

⚫︎ Supermassive Games announced that Directive 8020 has been delayed to May 12, 2026. They expressed their gratitude to the players, and promised to deliver "the very best experience" for them.

⚫︎ Directive 8020 dropped its "Trust No-one" trailer at the Future Games Show Summer Showcase. In the video, creative Director Will Doyle also revealed a new mechanic in the game called "Turning Points," in which every decision has long-lasting consequences that branches out into a story tree with multiple endings and hidden paths.
