    Special Treats on Goku Day

DBZ and Reese's Puffs announced a collaboration to release the REESE’S PUFFS x DRAGON BALL Z Limited Edition Cereal Box in honor of 40 years of the iconic anime/manga franchise. The limited edition cereal box is available starting today, May 9, otherwise known as "Goku Day" to Dragon Ball fans.

The special cereal box shows Goku in both his regular and signature Super Saiyan form, alongside the legendary dragon Shenron. And it's not just a regular cereal box—it's a cool box with a lenticular print that shows Goku transforming from his regular state to Super Saiyan by simply tilting the box. On the reverse side of the box, Shenron is intimidatingly plastered.

Available exclusively on the Reese's Puffs website, the Reese's Puffs x Dragon Ball Z Limited Cereal Box comes with a price tag of $40. For those looking for more sensible pricing, previously-launched standard Reese's Puffs boxes with designs featuring Goku, Piccolo, Trunks, and Vegeta, are also available in grocery stores across the U.S. at $5.69.

May 9th, otherwise known as Goku Day, is rooted in a wordplay of the date '5/9' in Japanese (Go for 5, Kyuu for 9) which closely resembles 'Goku.' This year, Goku Day holds much more significance as it coincides with the 40th anniversary of the original Dragon Ball manga's publication, as well as a commemoration to late Dragon Ball creator, Akira Toriyama, who passed earlier in the year.
