Dead by Daylight (DBD) and Five Night at Freddy's (FNAF) Announce Crossover

Coming Soon 2025

Two popular names in the horror game genre are joining together to bring on even more bloodcurdling moments. In celebration of Five Nights at Freddy's 10th anniversary, Dead by Daylight announced earlier today its collaboration with the horror franchise.

Albeit brief with not much throwaway, Dead by Daylight developer Behaviour Interactive confirmed that the crossover has a release window set for Summer 2025. Previous DBD crossovers have introduced a new "killer" character from the collaborating franchise for players to use in hunting down their enemies, the "survivors" in the game.

Based on this, it's also highly likely that a character from FNAF will become the next playable "killer" in DBD. Occasionally, DBD also adds "survivor" characters from other franchises, such as Lara Croft from the Tomb Raider series, who has appeared as a downloadable content (DLC) survivor in a previous crossover.

Moreover, the 2025 release window of the crossover could suggest it will be a significant project, potentially featuring a new FNAF-themed chapter in DBD. With anticipation and excitement ramping up, fans also called on the developer to come out with other content that is "something more than just skins, pleaseee." And whether a new location ends up appearing in DBD, we speculate that it could be the iconic Freddy Fazbear's Pizza shop in FNAF, though take this with a grain of salt.

We will share more details on the DBD x FNAF crossover as more information becomes available! In related news, DBD's crossover with the iconic metroidvania game, Castlevania, will have more details revealed tomorrow, August 6.
