Clair Obscur: Expedition 33's Game Director Guillaume Broche casually drops the information that the previously teased additional content for the game is available right now during his acceptance speech for winning Game of the Year. The new update is mentioned as a thank you to all the fans around the world for celebrating the success of the game.
Thank You Update Adds New Enemies, Bosses, and More Costumes
The added content adds a new area called Verso's Drafts, which adds a slew of many other things including new enemies, bosses, costumes, music, and more. One of the prominent features added was the inclusion of Photo Mode, which allows you to create artistic masterpieces during in-game combat or exploration in the similar vein to how the Painters bring their creations to life.
Aside from additional performance and graphics options, the update also adds quality-of-life improvements like being able to create and set Lumina loadouts to prepare and ready different builds for each of the playable characters. Additionally, the game also adds a Filter system for searching Pictos and Luminas in the Inventory screen, as well as input remapping for additional controller support.
To access the new area, you must be in Act 3 and have Esquie's Underwater ability unlocked.
