Arknights Crossover Side Story with BanG Dream!
Two Gacha Worlds Collide

The crossover project comes less than a month after Arknights' sixth anniversary on January 16, and is the first video game appearance for the metal band Ave Mujica, since they have not yet been formally added to BanG Dream! Girls Band Party! yet.
Kindly refer to the table below for the crossover’s duration in different time zones:

New Operators—the playable, collectible characters in Arknights serving as the game's tower defense system—feature Ave Mujica's band members Sakiko Togawa (keyboardist), Umiri Yahata (bassist), Mutsumi Wakaba (guitarist), Uika Misumi (guitarist-vocalist), and Nyamu Yūtenji (drummer). Each character has her own stage costume with cosmetic rewards.
The Operators are available from the collaboration's launch date until February 24 at 2:59 AM PT / 5:59 AM ET, also during the limited headhunting banner, Cantilena Puppae. Limited headhunting banners are time-limited gacha events that introduce Operators exclusively obtainable from specific events.

The side story, Somniloquium Serenum, is divided into two event stages:
⚫︎ First phase | Somniamus Omnes - Starts February 10 at 7:00 AM PT / 10:00 AM ET; ends February 24 at 2:59 AM PT / 5:59 AM ET.
⚫︎ Second phase | Amor Fati - Starts February 17 at 3:00 PM PT / 6:00 PM ET; ends February 24 at 2:59 AM PT / 5:59 AM ET.
In these events, players must clear stages and complete missions to earn rewards ranging from Operators Nyamu and Umiri to furniture pieces.
Moreover, the new mechanism is anchored in a moonlight theme that brings enemies to life at night. In a Twitter post, Arknights introduced the enemies as the Clockwork Servant, Background Clown, and Sleep Companion Beast.
Ave Mujica Debuting in Other Games First
Although the anime BanG Dream! Ave Mujica has already aired in 2025, the Japanese all-female metal band has yet to appear in the BanG Dream! Girls Band Party! mobile rhythm game itself. After Arknights, they will have another collaboration with Dozle Corp., a game commentary group famous in Japan for their Minecraft-themed content. Because of this, fans have been joking about how Ave Mujica is "in every game but their own."
Ave Mujica is a Japanese all-female band in the BanG Dream! media franchise by Bushiroad. They also perform in live concerts, and their music has been described as influenced by gothic rock and metalcore. In 2024, Rolling Stone Japan featured them in the "Future of Music" issue as one of the 25 artists representing Japan.

BanG Dream! Girls Band Party! is a free-to-play rhythm game developed by Craft Egg and published by Bushiroad for Android and iOS. It has a paid Japanese-exclusive Nintendo Switch port.
Arknights is also a free-to-play game with gacha mechanics, developed by Hypergryph and Studio Montagne and published by Yostar. The tower defense RPG is currently available on Android and iOS platforms. Its spin-off sequel, Arknights: Endfield, was recently released on January 22.
