Honkai: Star Rail's special program reveals Version 1.1's contents, including the new characters, events, and quality of life changes. Read on to learn more.
Honkai: Star Rail Special Program Version 1.1 Lineup
New Banners
Silver Wolf Banner
Silver Wolf is a Quantum element character on the Path of Nihility. She's also a 5-star, which means players will need to either luck out with Honkai: Star Rail's 0.60% rates (0.30% if you're not guaranteed yet from losing a previous 50-50) or get her from the game's 80-pull pity (which is also 50-50 if you haven't lost yet).
This is markedly a strange banner to follow up Version 1.0 as the latter already featured Seele, another Quantum element character, who is also the element's first 5-star. That means Quantum currently only has limited characters as their 5-stars. Not only that, Seele and Silver Wolf are only separated by one banner in between, which may make it hard for people aiming to create a Quantum-only team.
- Skill: She can apply different debuffs to enemies to improve her allies' combat superiority. In particular, her Skill can inflict a Weakness on enemies. The Weakness she inflicts matches a random ally's ATK Type.
- Talent: Every one of Silver Wolf's attacks has a chance of inflicting the enemy with a random Bug. There are three kinds of Bugs, which reduce the enemy's ATK, DEF, and SPD respectively.
- Technique: Deals DMG to all enemies, regardless of their weakness, and reduces their Toughness. It also triggers their Quantum Weakness Break effect.
- Ultimate: Silver Wolf's Ultimate has a high chance of reducing the enemy's DEF in addition to dealing DMG.
Considering the random nature of her Skill, she appears to function the best on teams with little to no elemental variety, such as a Quantum team with her, Seele, and Qingque. With a healer such as Natasha, Bailu, or Luocha as the 4th team member, this will give her Skill a 75% chance of applying Quantum Weakness on enemies hit.
Luocha Banner
Luocha is an Imaginary element character on the Path of Abundance. Like Silver Wolf, he will be a 5-star with the same rates as the former.
Players who don't have Bailu will undoubtedly appreciate having Luocha, which will complement Forgotten Hall runners by providing a second healer other than Natasha.
- Skill: Luocha's Skill can restore an ally's HP. When the HP of any ally falls below a certain percentage. Luocha uses his Skill on them without consuming any skill points. This effect can be triggered again after a set number of turns.
- Trace (1): Using Luocha's Skill also dispels a debuff from an ally.
- Talent: Every time Luocha uses his Skill or Ultimate, he grants himself 1 stack of Abyss Flower. Now, when the Abyss Flower reaches a certain number of stacks, Luocha deploys a Field against the enemy which lasts for a set number of turns. When the Field is active, allies recover a set amount of HP whenever they make an attack.
- Trace (2): Attacks against enemies in the Field can restore ally HP.
- Technique: His Field will be immediately generated at the start of the next battle.
- Ultimate: Dispels 1 buff from and deals Imaginary damage to all enemies.
Luocha is a versatile healer, similar to Natasha. Though he might not be able to output heals as powerful as Bailu, he makes up for it by being able to remove debuffs from allies and buffs from enemies.
Yukong
Also appearing in Luocha's banner, Yukong is an Imaginary element character on the Path of Harmony. She is the only 4-star character to be added to the game in this version.
It's worth noting that there will be a free Yukong from an in-game event in Version 1.2, so players who need her but want to skip pulling on Luocha's banner could do so unless they want to get some Eidolons in.
- Skill: Her Skill
Emboldening Salvo
grants her 2 stacks of Roaring Bowstrings. When Roaring Bowstrings is active, the ATK of all allies increases. Yukong loses 1 stack of Roaring Bowstrings with every allied turn. In other words, Yukong's Skill can increase allies' ATK for two turns. - Talent: Using Yukong's Basic Attack triggers her Talent
Seven Layers, One Arrow
which deals additional damage, and increases the Toughness-reducing damage of the current attack. This effect can be triggered again after a set number of turns. - Technique: During exploration, using Yukong's Technique increases her Movement SPD for a set time. It also allows her to obtain 2 stacks of Roaring Bowstrings at the start of the next battle.
- Ultimate: When Yukong unleashes her Ultimate
Diving Kestrel,
she deals Imaginary DMG to a single target. If Roaring Bowstrings is active, its effect is enhanced — increasing the CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG of all allies.
Yukong is a quintessential Harmony character, buffing the team's offensive stats for faster stage clears. Although there might be issues with timing because her Roaring Bowstrings only last for two allied turns, quick damage dealers such as Seele or Yanqing should be fine making use of her buffs.
New Light Cones
Two gacha Light Cones will be available at the same time as their corresponding characters' banners. It will be Incessant Rain for Silver Wolf and Echoes of the Coffin for Luocha.
There will also be a free 4-star Light Cone that can be obtained from one of the events in 1.1, Before the Tutorial Mission Starts.
New Events
Starhunt Game
Many events are planned to run throughout Honkai: Star Rail Version 1.1.
The first one is called the Starhunt Game, where players can earn Tracks of Destiny, the event-limited Before the Tutorial Mission Starts Light Cone, limited Light Cone Superimposition Material, Stellar Jade, and various materials.
The player is tasked to find all of the digital graffiti left behind by Silver Wolf throughout Herta Space Station. There, the player will also meet one of Herta's collaborators and fellow member of the Genius Society, Screwllum, who will assist the Trailblazer in their mission.
Everwinter Museum Ledger of Curiosities
The second event is the Everwinter Museum Ledger of Curiosities. Here, the player is tasked to find missing exhibits before Belobog's History Museum reopens. The player is also assigned to perform managerial work for the museum, such as enlisting people to help other visitors. Doing a good job earns the player funds that they could use to expand the museum's exhibits and gradually unlock rewards such as Stellar Jade and Self-Modeling Resin.
After the event, the museum will remain as a mode and a new area in the game.
Stellar Flare
The next event is called Stellar Flare, which resembles a more pronounced Boulder Town Super League or Forgotten Hall, where each stage has a theme. Players must think outside the box to fully utilize the themes presented in every stage. Trial characters that match the theme will also be provided, which could give a hint to the player as to what they should aim to do if they're struggling.
Garden of Plenty
The Garden of Plenty event is a simple bonus drop event where drops from certain Calyxes are doubled for a set number of daily attempts. This will undoubtedly help players invest in new characters or save materials for future banners.
Lab Assistants in Position
Like a scavenger hunt, the Lab Assistants in Position event makes the player look for specific monster materials for Wen Shiling's, a Department of Implement Arts Researcher in Herta Space Station, project. Rewards include Stellar Jades, credits, materials, and more.
Gift of Odyssey
Lastly, the players will have the Gift of Odyssey event, a login-event that will provide up to 10 Star Rail Special Passes for those who login for seven days.
New Quests
Companion Missions for Silver Wolf, Luocha, Bailu and Yanqing will become available within Version 1.1. Unfortunately, no announcement regarding an update to the main mission is made.
New Features
A couple of new features to the game are revealed during the Version 1.1 special program. The first one pertains to grinding for investment or leveling materials. When Trailblazers need to obtain leveling materials that only a specific type of enemy can produce, they can instantly teleport to an area where the enemy is present and pinpoint the enemy's precise location on the map with a marker. Once the enemy in question is defeated, the marker will automatically move to the location of the next enemy. After all marked enemies on a map have been defeated, Trailblazers can continue pinpointing enemies on other maps. This process can be repeated until all daily respawned enemies of a specific type have been defeated.
Gone are the days when players need to make educated guesses as to where certain enemies are located. The game will point them out for them instead!
A small surprise is also added to regular encounters, enabling lost trotters to suddenly drop into the match. Defeating them before they flee will award the player with additional materials.
Lastly, a Friend Chat function will be added to the game, allowing players to communicate directly with fellow Trailblazers in-game.
