Genshin Impact Version 3.2 will come on November 2, 2022 with cross-save and cross-play functions on Playstation, PC, Android, and iOS.

In the trailer we can safely assume that the Academiya's greed finally made them consult with The Doctor in creating a god born from human wisdom. It has been a rollercoaster ride of plot twists ever since Sumeru was released in the game, but this update just made a huge leap talking about Irminsul.
Irminsul is a sacred tree which roots were connected to the leylines of the Teyvat. It carries memories, dreams and aspirations of the people. It was unknown how Irminsul retains that information but it seems like tampering with it may lead to great consequences. This leads to the point of questioning the Doctor's ability. Does he know how to acquire information from the Irminsul? Can Nahida or anyone else can change the information within Irminsul?
We also saw a scene where Nahida mentions that the Balladeer was already made a vessel for a god, and it seems like she needs to race against time to stop Balladeer or he may re-enact the Archon War, an event that the Balladeer wish to relive.

Version 3.2 Summary
After solving the anomaly during the Sabzerus Festival, the Traveler dives into a rescue mission to save Nahida from the Fatui Harbinger, the Doctor. The Doctor teams up with the Academiya to create a god using human wisdom, and the Balladeer steps in as the new vessel for Sumeru's puppet god.
From this point, we can speculate that this concluding part of the Archon Quest can explain the Doctor's mission as a Fatui Harbinger, and his villainous desire to use anything and everything for his experiments to uncover the truth about Teyvat, albeit his procedures are inhumane.
Version 3.2 New Playable Characters
Nahida: 5-star Dendro Catalyst
Nahida is the Lesser Lord Kusanali (current Dendro Archon) whose authority was denied by Sumeru's Akademiya, thus plotting her replacement with a puppet god.
Nahida is a 5-star Dendro catalyst with an Elemental skill that marks, links, and damages opponents using a Dendro viewfinder. She can enhance her skills by teaming up with Pyro, Hydro, and Electro characters.
Layla: 4-star Cryo Sword
Layla is an Akademiya student in Astrology who reveals her true powers when she sleepwalks. Layla is a 4-star Cryo sword user that can provide a shield and Cryo damage for her team.
Nahida will be featured in the first part of Version 3.2's Event Banner with Yoimiya's rerun, and Layla will be joining Yae Miko and Tartaglia's rerun on the latter part.
Version 3.2 New Opponents
Dendro Hypostasis
The introduction of Dendro Hypostasis in the trailer completes the Hypostases for all elements from Teyvat. This will serve as an open-world opponent and part of a limited-time challenge, Hypostatic Symphony.
Balladeer Puppet Mechanism
The Balladeer will be fighting the Traveler during the epic boss fight in the Archon Quest. The Balladeer seems to be wielding an Electro, Anemo, and Cryo Element. The mechanism also can summon whirlwinds, Electro spheres and can fight using both his upper torso and his full body in the boss fight.
It is speculated that the Balladeer will be a weekly boss whose domain rewards will benefit Nahida and Layla's Talent Ascension.
Version 3.2 Events
Fabulous Fungus Frenzy
This new event allows the traveler to catch and train Fungi to compete with different challenges.
Adventurer's Trials
With trial characters, trials such as knocking slimes into the vine can be completed by triggering an Overload reaction.
Version 3.2 Improvements
Serenitea Pot will have a Replication System where players can share their realm designs or replicate others' in their Teapot. Additional languages like Italian and Turkish will be available in the Game setting starting Version 3.3.
