⚫︎ RGG Studio will be holding its annual RGG Summit on September 24, 2025. Many are expecting for the Yakuza studio to reveal more details about their ongoing projects, such as Stranger Than Heaven and Virtua Fighter.
⚫︎ RGG Studio has officially unveiled its new title, previously known as Project Century, as Stranger Than Heaven. Set in 1943 Japan, the game channels the style of classic Yakuza entries and the Judgment series, blending narrative-driven drama with fast-paced action.
Stranger Than Heaven Overview
Previously known as Project Century, Stranger Than Heaven revealed its updated title at Summer Game Fest 2025. The game follows a Japanese man with blue eyes, named Mako Daito. While details about the story are still scarce, the setting has shifted from the original 1915 reveal to 1943. Although gameplay footage is limited, it appears to be an action-adventure experience similar to the Like a Dragon series. No release date or platforms have been announced yet, but we’ll update this information as soon as more details become available.
Stranger Than Heaven Gameplay
Stranger Than Heaven features action and adventure elements reminiscent of RGG Studio’s other titles like Like a Dragon and the Judgment series. Although details remain limited, the game is presented from a third-person shoulder perspective rather than a traditional third-person view.
