Paranormasight: The Mermaid's Curse Gameplay
Not much has been revealed about Paranormasight: The Mermaid's Curse gameplay yet, but judging from some previews in the trailer the game will follow the visual novel style of its predecessor, Paranormasight: The Seven Mysteries of Honjo. Players will be investigating environments and selecting specific dialogue options to deduce the mysteries affecting the remote island of Kameshima. There will also be some puzzle-solving required, and certain dialogue options may affect the outcome of the story.

Story
Paranormasight: The Mermaid's Curse follows Yuza, a pearl diver who encounters a surreal, doppelganger of himself in the seas surrounding Kameshima in Ise Bay. An area heavily rumored to be inhabited by "mermaids," Kameshima Island then faces a succession of and conflicts as treasure hunters, housewives, and castaways make their way to the area to investigate their own mysteries. Not much is known yet if this game will have any direct connections to Paranormasight: The Seven Mysteries of Honjo.
Setting
Paranormasight: The Mermaid's Curse takes place in the remote island of Kameshima, located in Ise Bay along Japan's Mie Prefecture. While rumors of mermaids along the coasts of Japan have floated around different communities, Kameshima seems to have a closer connection to mermaids and the mystical creatures in Japan's seas through the effects of Yuza's recent pearl-diving expedition.
