Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection Demo Releases Later Today
Ahead of March 13 Release
Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection made its appearance in the February 2026 Nintendo Direct, revealing a Switch 2 demo available in the Nintendo eShop later today, February 5th, after the showcase. This demo will also be available on other platforms as well, including Steam, PS5, and the Xbox Store.
The "Trial Version" demo will feature the first few opening chapters of the game, allowing players to jump right into its new battle systems, namely the Wyvernsoul Gauge and Synchro Rush. As dedicated Riders, players will also be shown the ropes of Habitat Restoration and fulfilling their duties as Rangers and an ally to the Monsties.
Monsties and the Rite of Channeling
Aside from the demo release, the quick segment also showcased some snippets of gameplay, particularly focused on raising the Monsties. These monster allies can grow stronger and learn special abilities through the Rite of Channeling ceremony, a longtime gameplay mechanic in the series.
Strengthening Monsties is part of the main gameplay loop, especially with the world on the edge of destruction, from the looming threat of war in the horizon as well as dozens of monster species heading for extinction.
