⚫︎ Almost five years since it was released in China, popular gacha otome, Light and Night will be available for Southeast Asia. The announcement was made via a promotional video posted on YouTube.
Light and Night Overview
Light and Night is an immersive otome mobile game developed by Aurora Studios and published by its parent company, Tencent. It is a story-driven otome game with visual novel gameplay mechanics, a gacha system, and various mini-games.
Originally released on June 24, 2021 in China, Light and Night is considered one of the most popular Chinese otome gacha games alongside other titles such as Love and Deepspace, Tears of Themis, and For All Time/Lovebrush Chronicles.
Light and Night is set to open its servers to players residing in Southeast Asia (SEA), complete with English localization and voiceovers. The exact date of release is yet to be determined.

Light and Night Gameplay
Light and Night features narrative-driven gameplay told through a visual novel format. Players will take on the role of an up-and-coming designer who meets five of the game’s male love interests—each with their own distinct and complex backgrounds and personalities. Light and Night will have a main storyline and individual character stories where players are free to make critical choices that will affect the outcome of the narrative, allowing them to experience multiple endings.
Apart from the game’s visual novel format and various mini-games, Light and Night features a card-based combat system. Cards can be collected mainly through the game’s gacha system.
