Legacy of Kain: Defiance Remastered Latest News
⚫︎ Legacy of Kain: Defiance Remastered was announced at the PlayStation State of Play February 2026. (Game8) It is set to release on March 3, 2026, for both the PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4.
Legacy of Kain: Defiance Remastered Overview
Legacy of Kain: Defiance Remastered is a dark fantasy action adventure game developed by Acquire, releasing on March 3, 2026, for the PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4. It is a remastered version of the 2003 title, which was the last chapter of the Soul Reavers saga.
The dark fantasy action-adventure game, like every entry in the Legacy of Kain series, is set in the dying land of Nosgoth. Defiance picks up from Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 2, and follows the tale of the Vampire lord, Kain, and his betrayed lieutenant, Raziel, as they clash between "fate and free will".

Legacy of Kain: Defiance Remastered boasts new HD graphics, a third-person camera, and wayfinding maps, as well as bonus features like character skins, lost levels, concept art and lore, photo mode, and more.
Notably, a demo of Defiance’s unreleased sequel, Dark Prophecy, will be available in the digital deluxe version of the game, along with promotional comics. This continuation was being developed at the now-defunct Ritual Entertainment back in 2004, before its cancellation.
