Kyouran Makaism Overview
Kyouran Makaism, or Disgaea Mayhem, is a brand new 3D action RPG, launching in Summer 2026 for Steam, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2. The game was exclusively released in Japan on January 29, 2026.
Players will take on the role of a veteran mercenary, N.A., who has the special ability to turn defeated monsters into summonable Familiars or wieldable weapons. Command and use monsters, from dragons to alluring succubi, in a mission to reclaim the Overlord's stolen dish, the Pristine Gleam Flan.
Kyouran Makaism features a straightforward action battle system that centers around the use of over seven different weapon types, each with its own attack ranges and flashy special techniques. Moreover, there are 16 different creature types that players can defeat and command. The game borrows several features from the Disgaea series, like level caps that reach 9,999 and the ability to deal 100 million damage.

Kyouran Makaism Gameplay
Players will fight through hordes of monsters as N.A. and progress through stages. Defeated monsters can be turned into commandable Familiars or wieldable weapons, each increasing the players’ stats as well as giving them access to unique skills.
There are over seven different weapon types, each with its own playstyle: fists, swords, spears, axes, bows, guns, and wands. Attacks from each weapon type can vary and are used to execute various combos.
