Cairn Overview
Cairn is a standalone action-adventure survival game by The Game Bakers. Cairn simulates realistic aspects of rock climbing by emphasizing exploration and the importance of strategic climbing and resource management.
Cairn is set to release sometime in the first quarter of 2026 on PlayStation 5 and PC. While there is no specific release date yet, a demo version of the game is available for interested players.

Cairn Gameplay
Cairn is a survival rock-climbing game that simulates real-life rock climbing. Players will have to gauge appropriate paths to take according to their capabilities, resources, and climbing know-how. As with real-life sport, Cairn will include ever-changing weather and the in-game day-night cycles.
And although Cairn also heavily features exploration by including ruins and relics for players to discover, the bulk of the gameplay lies in the act of rock climbing itself, down to the crucial micro-decisions involved in rock climbing, such as finding stable footholds, using pitons, and managing one’s energy in the middle of a climb.
