Project Windless Overview
Project Windfall is an upcoming open-world action RPG from KRAFTON Montreal Studios releasing sometime in 2026. Set in the universe of of the Korean fantasy novel series "The Bird that Drinks Tears," Project Windfall will be a prequel where players control Rekons. These are humanoid warrior birds that are known for their immense strength and combat prowess. As Rekons, players explore the game's open world and fight hordes of enemies.
Project Windless Gameplay
Project Windless is an open-world, action RPG with hack-n-slash combat elements similar to Dynasty Warriors.Players will be taking control of Rekon warriors that fight through massive hordes of enemies with weapon-based combat, with action game staples like dodge rolls, backstepping, parrying, and combos being a major part of gameplay. There will also be boss fights against singular, massive enemies similar to Dark Souls. Exploring the open world will also be a big element of gameplay, as different modes of transportation such as gliding on a massive beetle-like creature will unlock more areas for combat and new items.
