When we think of support units, we often think of low-priority characters that are simply there to serve as something for our main damage dealers to step on to. Indeed, often, we decide not to engage in the gacha for these characters beyond getting a single copy, skipping even their signature equipment most of the time.
However, the new character for Snowbreak: Containment Zone’s upcoming version might make you think twice about getting just the limited character. The version itself is set to run from May 29, 2025 all the way to July 10, 2025 for a total of 42 days.
New Operatives Over the Horizon
Vidya - Celestial Swan
Poised to become the game's most versatile defense-shredding support, Vidya’s new exosuit, the Celestial Swan, equips her with a sniper rifle and grants her the Chaos typing. She specializes in compromising enemy defenses and resistances based on her teammates' types, regardless of what they are, to increase overall team damage output. Her skills also persist visually even after she switches out, allowing her to continue delivering debuffs while players admire her presence from the vantage point of another party member.
Thanks to the broad applicability of her debuffs, she pairs exceptionally well with fellow Chaos-types like Nerida – Styx Envoy and Marian – Riptide. However, she also functions seamlessly in off-type teams alongside units like Chenxing – Jade Arc and Yao – Nightglow. This remarkable flexibility all but guarantees her long-term value—much like Acacia – Kaguya, whose universally useful All-Type Resistance shred and movement speed debuffs have cemented her as a core unit. Vidya is shaping up to be a must-pull addition to any roster.
Starlit Truth
For many support units, Energy Recovery bonuses are a key priority, enabling them to unleash their strongest skills and ultimates more frequently. Pulling for Vidya – Celestial Swan's signature weapon, Starlit Truth, not only grants her these essential bonuses but also enhances her overall combat capabilities through its high base stats.
Vidya - Celestial Swan, as well as her signature weapon "Starlit Truth," will be on the banner rotation throughout the entire version from May 29, 2025 until July 10, 2025.

Flight of Fantasy
Of course, Vidya - Celestial Swan’s debut wouldn’t be complete without a complementary outfit, right? This one, modeled after a flight attendant’s uniform, is a satisfying service to her players by accentuating her legs with its black stockings and heels. Just like the operative herself, this outfit will be available to purchase throughout the entirety of the version.
Pool Patrol
Ah, yes, the legendary swimsuit skin, and this time we’re getting one for the little researcher, Fritia, for her Turbo exosuit! It even comes with cheeky little design details, like that strap that’s barely hanging on for dear life—
Full Bloom
Chenxing - Jade Arc also gets a new and airy outfit this version, showing off her charming and elegant side with a gown specifically picked to give the adjutant full view of her legs.
Ride the Breeze
My personal favorite character, Lyfe, also gets a new skin this update for her Infinite Sight exosuit. Unlocked through the game’s Decoder Pass that runs throughout the entire version, this skin has Lyfe don a rider’s habit, giving her a sophisticated and professional look while still keeping her charming purity.
Persistent Memory
Heart-wrenchingly ironic for the character, Siris receives an outfit called Persistent Memory, despite her innocent character design as someone with selective memory loss. This outfit, which shows off Siris’ more capable side, is set to be available through Snowbreak’s Choice Products shop.
Mode Corner
Chain Assault
Snowbreak: Containment Zone’s upcoming update is set to introduce a fun, Zuma-like mode that also features cooperative play! These modes are essential additions that the developers use to relieve players from its core shooting gameplay.
Gradient of Souls
This is a rerun of the Main Story Event for the special chapter "Gradient of Souls"—a beloved story that has deeply resonated with the community. Join Enya and Cherno in their highly acclaimed tale as they delve into the Hallowed Assembly and uncover the secret behind the lily-white deity. The event rerun will be available from June 19, 2025, until the end of the version on July 10, 2025.
Spectral Fantasies
Snowbreak: Containment Zone’s roguelike mode is set to introduce new features such as an Auto-Clear function, available with the new Ancient Key. This allows you to skip some combat nodes and automatically obtain its rewards.
A refine function by using Mobei Stardusts is also going to be introduced through the Arcane Anvil, allowing you to reroll the substats on the items in your backpack.
Mobei Stardusts can be obtained from Challenge Stages, which will replace Nightmare Passages and will come in three challenge types; speed, damage, and knockouts. Random treasures and Mobei Stardusts can be obtained from these, which increase in quantity as more objectives are completed.
Clearing an adventure round now also unlocks new artifacts, which will become available on your next cycle.
Seven-Day Carnival
A set of fun minigames will be introduced through the Seven-Day Carnival; a fifteen-day event spanning from June 23, 2025 until July 7, 2025. These mini-games include:

⚫︎ Box Cascade
Each mini-game challenges players in unique ways, testing their spatial awareness, problem-solving skills, reaction speed, and strategic planning. Additionally, every mode incorporates familiar control schemes from the core gameplay, enabling players to apply the skills they’ve developed throughout the game to accomplish new objectives.
The Snowbreak Partner Programs!
Snowbreak: Containment Zone is currently encouraging aspiring content creators and artists to partner up for current and future projects. This is split between the Snowbreak Creator Program, which is aimed at content creators, and the upcoming “Fragments of Truth” Fan Content Contest, which is aimed at artists and other creative community members.
