V Rising Story Plot
V Rising lets you play as a blood-sucking sun-fearing vampire. The time has come for you to rise from your slumber. Weakened after centuries of rest, you must hunt for blood to restore your power. Raise your vampire empire – or should I say, vempire – by rebuilding your castle and amassing a group of loyal human servants. Fend off holy soldiers and conquer a world in conflict.
V Rising Gameplay
V Rising features top-down ARPG gameplay reminiscent of Diablo, paired with survival-crafting mechanics like those featured in games like Valheim and ARK. You’ll explore the land of Vardoran to scavenge for resources, which you’ll refine and transform into valuable materials you’ll need to strengthen your empire. You’ll have your own castle, complete with spooky interiors and coffins for beds that you’ll use to store your loot and house your allies and servants.
When exploring, stay under shade during the day so as not to burn yourself, and unleash your full power at night when you’re least vulnerable. You’ll encounter villages to pillage, bandits to rob, and supernatural beasts to hunt. Use your supernatural powers to aid you in your quest for blood and power.
You’re not the only vampire around by the way. Defend your castle from hostile vampires and raid theirs back once they fail. You could take them all on if you wish, but you could ally with them too if you’re more of a friendly vampire.
As an undead bloodsucker, you’ll have access to a powerful arsenal of weapons and unholy abilities. Hone your skills and get stronger. Customize your loadout and discover synergistic combinations involving your chosen items and abilities.
1.0 Update Features New Region, Quality-of-Life Changes, and Castlevania Collaboration!
It's no secret that V Rising has been in early access for a while. It has been iterated over months of hard work and will now have a full 1.0 launch! The 1.0 update includes many new quality of life features like better inventory management, castle management and relocation, and even controller support. One of the main additions is an additional endgame region called the "Ruins of Mortium" where you will get higher tier resources from completing endgame events from battling Dracula's monsters.
Speaking of Dracula, the 1.0 update also features the long-awaited Castlevania collaboration! Players will be able to face off against the historic Simon Belmont as well as featuring new cosmetic items resembling key characters in the series like Alucard, Maria Renard, and more.
The game will have more weapons and weapon types like the whip and longbow as well as more ways to upgrade your weapons so that older favorites will not be thrown by the wayside. Additionally, the full release will have a fully revamped equipment system with dozens of armor sets! While on the topic of armor, the 1.0 release will enable armor color customization!
