Skull and Bones Story Plot
Skull and Bones is set in the Indian Ocean during the Golden Age of Piracy, within the Assassin’s Creed Universe. You play as a pirate who finds himself shipwrecked on an island after a devastating naval battle defeat. You’ve lost everything, but you’re not done just yet. Start from the bottom, reach the top of the pirate world, and become the legendary pirate kingpin you’re destined to be.
Skull and Bones Gameplay
The game doesn’t have a campaign, nor does it have a set plot. Instead, it’s a live-service game where your gameplay experiences serve as your own unique pirate story. You’ll spend most of your time on your ship, where you navigate the beautiful but dangerous and lawless seas. However, you’ll spend some time on land as well, preparing for your next voyage and interacting with NPCs to take on contracts. Gain infamy by taking on contracts, finding treasures, and annihilating enemy pirates to become a pirate legend.
There are different types of ships, each one with different perks, strengths, and weaknesses. You’ll be able to customize your ship’s weapons, armor, and furniture, allowing you to tweak the ship to cater to your preference. It’s also very customizable in terms of aesthetics, and you could make it look how you want it to.
Naval combat involves both PvE and PvP experiences. Other than ship-to-ship battles and hunting, you’ll find settlements and other points of interest that you could trade with or pillage. These settlements are under factions, who keep track of your in-game behavior. Anger them and they’ll refuse to trade and will be hostile.
