Sick Samurai Story Plot
Taking place on the fictional island of Furikyu that mixes Edo period Japan with urban America, Sick Samurai follows a young man who seeks to become the greatest samurai. In his journey, he sought out Genyu, a famed ex-Samurai who agrees to take him under his wing. Together, the two train and set out on an adventure to challenge the four most powerful samurai that control Furikyu.
Hone your skills, take down your enemies to the death, and achieve your dreams of becoming the sickest samurai.
Sick Samurai Gameplay
Sick Samurai is a fast-paced top-down action game inspired by Hotline Miami. It features bloody and violent combat where precise dashing and slashing is key. Everyone is a one-hit kill, including yourself, so your reflexes, awareness, speed, and planning will all be crucial in succeeding as a sick samurai. Go through hand-crafted levels with branching paths and strategies for players to experiment or trial-and-error with through their playthroughs, allowing deep replayability on top of the fun of slicing and dicing enemies over and over again.
Aside from the gameplay, the art is heavily inspired by retro anime of old, most particularly Samurai Champloo and Cowboy Bebop. Additionally, it features an original lo-fi soundtrack with hip hop, jazz, soul, funk, and more!
