Project Spirits is SHIFT UP’s upcoming Eastern Fantasy-themed title, coming to several platforms in 2027. Read on to learn how it plays, what it's about, and everything else we know so far.

Project Spirits Gameplay
As of writing, there’s no official news or hints from SHIFT UP as to what kind of game Project Spirits will be. However, given SHIFT UP’s library of games, fans are speculating for it to either be an action-adventure AA title like Stellar Blade, or it may follow the footsteps of Goddess of Victory: NIKKE, a mobile gacha gunslinger RPG.
Eagle-eyed players have also spotted various job openings posted on the developer’s official recruitment page, notably looking for people with the skills with Unreal Engine 5, a popular engine used by games like Black Myth: Wukong and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. In fact, sister game Stellar Blade itself runs on Unreal Engine 4. Other requirements they’re looking for involve planning Japanese-style or anime-style RPGs, and creation of large, open-world maps.
Project Spirits Story Plot
As of writing, there is no announcement as to what kind of plot Project Spirits will follow, however the game will surely have elements of "Eastern Fantasy." We’ll be sure to update this article once more details are announced!
