All Diana wanted was a vacation from her writing, but the island of Borgo Marina had other plans as she’s wrapped in a puzzling mystery. Read on to learn how it plays and what it’s about!
On Your Tail Gameplay
On Your Tail is a cozy life-sum adventure puzzle game, where players will act as the protagonist, Diana, as she explores town to investigate the mystery all over town.
She can talk to the inhabitants to gather clues and receive quests that offer a small piece of the bigger puzzle. Using her magical device, the ‘chronolens,’ players can observe their surroundings to investigate glowing objects that could offer insight into the crimes committed. Once enough details have been observed or enough clues have been found, Diana can recreate the crimes as they happen, pulling players into a 3d diorama where they can arrange the clues they’ve found as cards to piece the puzzles together. Players must accurately recreate the crime’s series of events in order to find the mystery culprit.
However, Diana came to the town for a vacation, and she still needs it. Players can allow her to relax and take a break by engaging in other activities such as cooking, fishing, swimming, playing in the arcade, and even stargazing.
On Your Tail Story
Diana is an up-and-coming writer with a terrible case of exhaustion and dejection. Recently rejected from her recent tryout with her latest piece, she books a relaxing vacation in the summer haven of Borgo Marina, a seaside town that oozes tropical vibes. However, as soon as she arrives, she is faced with a village-wide mystery. A thief has been ransacking people’s homes, stealing peculiar items and valuables. Using her powers of detection, Diana must investigate these crimes, recreate them, piece them together, and find the culprit behind it all.
However, she won’t let the thief ruin her vacation, as she’ll spend the rest of her time relaxing by the pool, fishing by the ocean, stargazing at night, or even chatting up the locals and forming bonds perhaps deeper than friendship.
