MOTORSLICE Gameplay
According to developer Regular Studios, MOTORSLICE was directly inspired by the beloved Prince of Persia franchise and Mirror’s Edge, a pioneer action-adventure platformer centered around parkour from 2008. Similarly, the heart of MOTORSLICE lies in parkour and deep exploration. With only a single chainsaw as a weapon, players, as P, will utilize a diverse set of parkour moves to navigate the megastructure’s brutalist buildings. Players can wallrun, vault, swing from bars, jump from pillar to pillar, and even use cracks in facades to scale walls.
Combat is relatively simple with only a rather small moveset and a single weapon. However, timing can play a crucial role, especially against agile enemies and massive machines with attacks that are impossible to dodge. Players can parry otherwise deadly attacks and even climb into gigantic machines to take them down from within.
MOTORSLICE Story Plot
Not much has been revealed nor confirmed about the story of MOTORSLICE, but the plot begins with P, a "Slicer" whose mission is to eliminate machines in the megastructure. However, things turn out to be far more complicated and treacherous when she encounters extremely hostile and intelligent machines.
