Mongil: Star Dive Gameplay
Mongil: Star Dive is a semi-open world game where players will encounter various monsters in the sprawling lands of Belana. The combat is similar to games such as Zenless Zone Zero and Wuthering Waves in which players enter battles with a party of three different characters, including additional assistance from tamed monsters. Combat is fast and fluid, encouraging players to quickly swap between different characters to chain attacks and exploit enemies’ elemental weaknesses.
Monsters found in the wild can be tamed using Nyanners, a monster that can turn other monsters into Monsterlings, which are miniaturized versions of captured monsters that can be equipped to any character. Monsterlings possess abilities that are unique to their kind and can be used frequently in battle.
Mongil: Star Dive Story Plot

The story of Mongil: Star Dive takes place in Belana, a rich world filled with regions that are ripe for exploration. As guild members, protagonists Cloud and Verna are frequently deployed to track down and subdue monsters of all shapes and sizes with the help of Nyanners, a mysterious creature with the curious ability to tame other monsters. Along the way, they will meet plenty more adventurers and gain allies as they slowly uncover the mysteries plaguing Belana.
Mongil: Star Dive will also feature other characters from the original Monster Tamer series, such as Mina, the nine-tailed fox, Francis, the nursing assistant, and Rin (also known as Lin), an interdimensional traveler.
