Mass Effect 5 Gameplay
Mass Effect is a single-player action-RPG franchise featuring third-person, party-based combat across four games. While little has been revealed about the upcoming Mass Effect 5, it’s likely to follow this structure. Players can build their character as they please, having access to a myriad of abilities, from highly versatile sci-fi tech skills to improved command over their squad.
Outside of combat, player agency is given great emphasis. Missions and conversations can typically branch into multiple paths, and players’ decisions can have immediate effects and even long-term ramifications across games.
Mass Effect 5 Story Plot
Mass Effect 5’s plot and driving premise are still a mystery, but it will likely take place after a significant time-skip following Mass Effect 3. How it connects to the original trilogy and Mass Effect Andromeda, as well as if it will explore the aftermath of those previous 4 games, has yet to be revealed.
