Last Epoch: Orobyss Gameplay
Players can choose between five different classes, each with three highly customizable masteries. With a total of 15 mastery-class pairs, it totals to over 120 unique skills with its own individual skill trees that can then be tweaked to one’s liking and to what fits one’s battle style. From multiplying hammers that can bludgeon an unsuspecting enemy, to a heart-seeking arrow that carries a tip of flame or frost, to even turning a wolf companion into a whole pack that follows one’s commands, almost anything is possible.
After decking out characters with battle skills and are ready for combat, they are then sent to different eras across the world of Eterra’ long history to correct the mistakes of the past. Moving forwards, backwards in time—it is all part of the bigger scheme to stop the entity Orobyss from completing its nefarious schemes of destruction and despair.
Last Epoch is also known for its deep crafting system complete with a unique upgrade mechanic, allowing players to painstakingly tailor each and every item to their chosen builds for maximum output and power. However, not everything is about how much damage can be unleashed—skill synergies and enemy weaknesses can be better utilized by placing the proper stats and sets to one’s armor or weapon.
As an expansion, Last Epoch: Orobyss is set to introduce even more ambitious content and gameplay mechanics to the table—new threats to take down, new ways to upgrade already powerful builds, and even more loot to discover and collect.
Last Epoch: Orobyss Story Plot
Armed with a mystical relic known as an Epoch, players journey through the world of Eterra through different timelines and eras with the power of time travel. Eterra’s long history has been marred by bloodshed and catastrophic results, and the mysterious entity and the very manifestation of despair, Orobyss, has unleashed its power and machinations to further perpetuate these events for the ultimate destruction. Thus the campaign sends these fated players across time in an attempt to correct these very wrongs, and also to stop Orobyss from bringing its plan to fruition.
Eras can be freely visited from the world map, from the very beginning all the way to The End of Time, the last era of time before the world is sucked into the Void.
