Dead Take Gameplay

Dead Take employs standard puzzle horror game mechanics by locking the next stage of each encounter behind locks and codes. Players will have to search every nook and cranny to find items of import, from revealing notes and tape recordings to USB drives and code combinations. The gameplay also introduces a "video splicing" mechanic in which you, as the player, connect two disparate videos of different actors to obtain more information.
Dead Take Story Plot

Dead Take is meant to explore the dangers of the film industry and the psychological toll it takes on individuals who are deeply entrenched in the system. You play the role of aspiring actor Chase Lowry whose friend, Vinny, fails to pick up the phone one night, prompting you to visit the mansion of Duke Cain, the Executive Producer at Lampblack Productions. Duke Cain also happens to be the man you idolize and the one you want to prove yourself to.
However, finding your friend is easier said than done; upon entering Duke’s dizzying Hollywood mansion, you’re met with a seemingly deserted mansion filled instead with hair-raising anomalies everywhere you go. The further you venture into the building, the more secrets you uncover about the industry, the man whose approval you seek, and yourself.
