Control 2 Gameplay

Control 2 will feature more in-depth RPG mechanics, giving players greater control over their character builds and offering more options for customization. Its predecessor, 2019’s Control, let players build protagonist Jesse Faden. The first was through a skill tree for her telekinetic powers, and the second was through upgrades and augments to her gun, the Service Weapon.
While the first Control took place entirely within the ever-changing headquarters of the Federal Bureau of Control, it is unknown where the sequel will have an entirely different setting.
Control 2 Story Plot

No details have been revealed about Control 2’s premise, but it will likely continue to build on the Remedy Connected Universe (RCU), the in-game world shared by the Control and Alan Wake IPs. The RCU was first established in the Control AWE Expansion, confirming that the occurrences in 2010’s Alan Wake were part of an Altered World Event, which the Federal Bureau of Control investigated.
