The Midnight Walk Overview
The Midnight Walk is a ‘cozy’ first-person horror game being made by MoonHood, the developers of Lost in Random, and published by Fast Travel Games. It came out on May 8, 2025 for the PC, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation VR 2. All assets are all physically handcrafted clay models scanned to be imported into the game. Their animations are also on 2s, or 12 frames per second, to simulate the stop-motion aesthetic.
The Midnight Walk follows The Burnt One, awakened from their coffin as they unbury themselves six feet from the ground. As they wander through life once more, they stumble upon Potboy, a curious lantern creature with the power to produce fire. Together, they must brave The Midnight Walk to avoid, outsmart, and escape the monsters who seek Potboy’s fire for their own.

The Midnight Walk Gameplay
The Midnight Walk is a first-person horror game with some stealth, puzzle, and shooter elements. Players will take the role of The Burnt One and guide their companion, Potboy, as they go through the Five Tests of Fire. Players must utilize Potboy’s fire abilities to ward off enemies with the light, as well as to light the way. Players will also acquire a canon-like gun to fire at enemies in hopes to knock them out and pave the wave forward.
