BanG Dream! Our Notes Gameplay
BanG Dream! Our Notes features rhythm-based gameplay that emphasizes fast reactivity, timing, and precision. Players must tap, flick, hold, or slide notes as they appear on screen. Players’ performances will be based on their ability to hit every note with precise timing as well as the cards they have equipped. Mistakes will affect the players’ HP, and their ability to hit notes with precise timing will affect their overall score.
In order to boost their scores, players can equip cards that can be obtained through the game’s gacha system. Like other gacha rhythm games, each card will likely have its own stats and additional effects depending on type and rarity.
The starting song list is yet to be revealed, but it has been confirmed that, much like BanG Dream! Girls Band Party!, BanG Dream! Our Notes will include original songs exclusive to the game in addition to tracks from the franchise. Each band will also have their own signature sounds, such as the punk rock tunes of MyGO!!!!! and Ave Mujica’s gothic and heavy metal tracks, and Mugendai Mewtype’s J-pop beats.
BanG Dream! Our Notes will also host real-time multiplayer battles on the platform, with players competing with one another during performances.
Outside of the rhythm-based gameplay, players can experience the BanG Dream! Our Notes stories delivered in visual novel format. There will reportedly be branching storylines, but the finer details are yet to be revealed.
BanG Dream! Our Notes Story Plot
The overarching storylines of BanG Dream! Our Notes have not been revealed yet, but the release of the game will first spotlight the stories of the bands MyGO!!!!! and Ave Mujica, followed by the stories of three other bands—Mugendai MewType and newcomers millsage and Ikka Dumb Rock!. The storylines featured in the game will include content never before seen in the BanG Dream! anime, with themes revolving around the girls’ shared love of music and their friendship.
