As of writing, there is no official release date for Professor Layton and The New World of Steam, nor is there any information on its port to another console, but we can expect it to be available on Nintendo Switch when it releases. The official website for the game simply shows the cover art, but clicking on Layton's silhouette will grant you two wallpapers in various resolutions for PCs, smartphones, and tablets.
Despite all the rumors around the brief teaser, Professor Layton's return along with the interesting Steampunk aesthetic gives the puzzle-adventure-loving fans something to look forward to. We can't wait to face challenges and riddles with Professor Layton in a new thrilling story.
Professor Layton and The New World of Steam Trailer
After six years, the popular puzzle-adventure game series from the DS and 3DS is finally back! The latest Nintendo Direct broadcast teased a 23-second long footage for the new upcoming game, Professor Layton and the New World of Steam. However, the short teaser only featured Layton in an industrial backdrop surrounded by steams and didn't show any gameplay. Still, this is a huge surprise for the fans of the series since the last installment of the game was Layton’s Mystery Journey: Katrielle And The Millionaires’ Conspiracy, which was released in 2017 for the Nintendo 3DS.
