Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time is coming to Nintendo Switch in 2023! Learn more about Fantasy Life's new chapter, time travel, class changes, and about exploring the open world!
Fantasy Life i Features
Changeable Life Classes
You can switch between any of the 12 Life classes at any time and learn their specific skills.
The craftsman class is for you if you enjoy making tools and weapons, whereas the combat class is more effective for battles. If you aren't the fighting type, you can work as an easy going fisherman or a woodcutter. The choice is yours.
Playing as different Life Classes can also change certain aspects of the game. Exploring an area as one Life Class and returning as another may give you completely different items.
Time Travel
You will meet a mysterious girl who will transport you back in time 1000 years. You will then be able to explore the island and travel back in time to customize it to your liking.
Meeting the mysterious girl will be the game's inciting incident. Through meeting her you will travel back in time, alter the past, and create a thriving society in your present time.
Customize your island and use time travel to your advantage to see what kind of future you want to see take shape.
Open World Exploration
You get to explore a completely open world with distinct areas. You may own a house in each town and decorate them with furniture you create.
You can also gather ores, catch fish, and battle wild animals. You can use different Life Classes to get additional items and resources which you can use to craft things to improve your island.
Fantasy Life i and Animal Crossing Differences
Fantasy Life i Has More Action RPG Elements than Animal Crossing
Animal Crossing is a life simulation game where you play as the city's representative. You can customize the topography of your island, hang out with your animal neighbors for concerts and events, craft furniture, and capture fish, insects, and fossils for your museum.
On the other hand, Fantasy Life i is an action RPG with a stronger narrative focus. You can live on the island as one of 12 Life classes. Similar to Animal Crossing, you can also customize your island to your liking here, but the key difference being that in Fantasy Life i you can use your Life Classes to improve how many resources you get, your furniture, house, and even the world you live in.
Animal Crossing and Fantasy Life i may have similar aesthetics, but the game's core gameplay is different. Both are fun to play, depending on what aspects the player enjoys focusing on. If you dropped Animal Crossing because something was missing, Fantasy Life i is worth a try.
