Lapidarist Masha as a New Playable Hero
Nintendo announced in a Nintendo Direct on February 8, 2023, that Xenoblade Chronicles 3's features a new character for the Expansion Pass: Lapidarist Masha.
Masha is described by Nintendo as a real gem
, which is a bit of a play on words as Masha is a Lapidarist, or a person who makes gems. Masha can use special ores to craft accessories that can give various effects, making her a great addition to the roster of Heroes.
Take advantage of Masha's ability and deck out your party with top of the line accessories.
Challenge Battles in Expansion Pass Vol. 3
This DLC also includes Challenge Battles, which have added rogue-like elements. We see two options in the trailer: Time Attack and Archsage's Gauntlet. This is speculation, but it would seem that Time Attack is, as the name implies, a timed challenge where you try to take down enemies as quickly as possible. Archsage's Gauntlet may have you try to clear a list of enemies, or perhaps play until you lose. Again this is not confirmed, but based on the trailer and wording it is likely.
You can choose only one hero to battle wave after wave of enemies. For every wave you win, you get more Heroes and special abilities as a reward. You may also win special in-game outfits for clearing these challenges. These challenges are a great way to get more heroes and learn abilities.
Expansion Pass Vol. 4 DLC Teaser
At the end of the Xenoblade Expansion trailer, we see a teaser of the next section of the story. We see Shulk and Rex facing what looks to be Alvis. Definitely stay tuned for when Vol. 4 drops to take part in this insane battle!
