Marvel's Spider-Man 2 will be exclusively released on PS5 on October 20, 2023 at midnight, local time. With users able to pre-download the digital game prior to its release, they will be able to play the game as soon as it's available for play in the PlayStation store.

Marvel's Spider-Man 2 First Impressions
Marvel's Spider-Man 2’s seems to retain most of the gameplay it had from the previous games based on the gameplay footage that they revealed. The fast-paced combat, pseudo stealth sections, atmospheric exploration, and finally the frantic chase sequence at the end is reminiscent of the previous game’s action and gameplay sequences albeit with the exception of switching between Peter Parker and Miles Morales in the different sections.
The previous games were highly adored for accurate web swinging for traversal, and now with the addition of the Web Wings, exploration should be a lot more unique and even quicker without the need to swing all the time. The revealed villains of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, namely Venom, Lizard, and Kraven the Hunter, from the story trailer are also some of the most iconic opponents that Spider-Man has in the comics and it's great knowing that they will be the main antagonists of the game mainly due to the different ways that the story can pan out with their inclusions.

Marvel's Spider-Man 2 follows Peter Parker and Miles Morales as they valiantly try to save New York, each other, and the ones they care for. Facing multiple iconic villains like Venom, Kraven the Hunter, and Lizard, their strength and resolve will be tested as they face these dangerous threats.
Marvel's Spider-Man 2 Gameplay
Marvel's Spider-Man 2’s gameplay and its previous iterations, similarly plays like the Arkham series, Assassin’s Creed series, and even Ghost of Tsushima. The balance of combat and exploration are the main aspects of the gameplay.
Building combos, dodging attacks, and using your arsenal of gadgets to control the battlefield is the bread and butter of combat. These mechanics paired with the cinematic cuts of action sequences build up an amazing spectacle both of fluid movement and stunning visuals.
Exploration remains largely the same based on the footage except with the addition of the Web Wings, as both Peter and Miles were shown to be gliding across New York to gain speed around the high-rise buildings as well as the classic web-swinging traversal that was one of the highlights of the previous games.

The final trailer shows more of Venom and a newly revealed villain in the form of Sandman. It also shows more of the Venom in the symbiote form and how it affects Peter mentally with the black suit, as well as how Venom becomes his own humanoid form by latching onto one of the characters.
