According to a report from news site Exputer, Xbox signed an agreement that will see Hundred Star, a new studio founded by Jamie Walker and Sefton Hill, the co-founders of Rocksteady Studios, developing a new single-player action-adventure game, with Xbox financing the project. This has yet to be announced or confirmed by either company.

Hundred Star, established in 2023 and based in London, houses over 100 employees including over 20 former Rocksteady developers. Rocksteady is renowned for its work on the critically acclaimed superhero action-adventure video game franchise, Batman: Arkham and the recently launched, utterly chaotic action-adventure shooter Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.

Walker and Hill founded Rocksteady in 2004 after working together at Argonaut Games. During their tenure at Rocksteady, they were instrumental in creating the Arkham series, a game franchise that arguably had left a lasting impact on the superhero gaming genre. Hill served as Rocksteady’s creative director, while Walker was the studio director.

The two announced their departure from Rocksteady in 2022, amid the development of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, mentioning that they intend to "start a new adventure together in games." Their departure from Rocksteady appeared to be amicable, with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment president David Haddad expressing confidence in the future of Suicide Squad and extending well-wishes to Walker and Hill in their new endeavors.

"We have the utmost respect and gratitude for Jamie and Sefton and wish them all the best in their new endeavor, and like many fans, we look forward to what they do next," Haddad said at the time, according to a report from Polygon.

Specific details about the new game from Hundred Star remain under wraps, and it is unclear whether Hundred Star are working on an entirely new IP, developing a superhero title, or leading a licensed project. Moreover, it is unconfirmed whether Hundred Star's upcoming AAA title will release exclusively on Xbox platforms and the PC, or whether the game will do away with console exclusivity considering Xbox's new strategy of bringing the brand everywhere.
