Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 finally has a release date. Paradox Interactive showed off a new pre-order trailer for their long-awaited upcoming sequel to their cult classic 2004 RPG of the same name.
Alongside an official release date, set for October 21, 2025, additional never-before-seen gameplay footage was showcased, particularly of the game's combat mechanics as one of its dual-protagonists, Phyre.
On the Heels of Several Substantial Delays
The long journey of Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 has been anything but straightforward. Announced in 2019 as a sequel to the cult-classic RPG released more than two decades ago, the game was originally scheduled for a March 2020 launch. What followed, however, was a series of lengthy delays and setbacks that pushed the project further from its intended release.
After years of missed targets, the situation took a sharp turn in February 2021 when original developer Hardsuit Labs was removed from the project. Development duties were later handed to The Chinese Room—best known for Still Wakes the Deep—who initially delayed the game to 2024. That timeline slipped again, first to early 2025, and more recently to late 2025, with the studio citing the need to ensure stability and performance.
