Tokyo Game Show 2024 Ending Program
A Grand Finale to an Extraordinary Event
The Tokyo Game Show 2024 came to a final program hosted by Taiyo Tanabe, the head of Tokyo Game Show Management and joined by Japanese singer-songwriter Daichi Miura and Go Ishikawa from Dentsu Tokyo Game Show Management Office. They expressed their deep gratitude to the sponsors, participants, cosplayers, and gaming enthusiasts from all around the world.
Taiyo Tanabe reflected on the success of this year’s event, calling it a dream come true for both the organizers and attendees. A recap of some of the events on the Tokyo Game Show 2024 showed attendees engaging with special booths, game exhibitions and playing soon to be released titles while Miura also noted how each game had its own dedicated stage, complete with statues and figures, giving the entire show a theme-park atmosphere.
Cosplay is a Major Factor for Tokyo Game Show 2024
The panel showed photos of the cosplayers in this year’s event in both outdoor and indoor sections of the Tokyo Game Show and they continued to show admiration for their dedication to their craft. Japanese singer-songwriter Daichi Miura added that the cosplay area remained a vibrant highlight of the event and emphasized the cosplayers’ creativity even during brief moments of unfavorable weather.
Daichi Miura Calls for More Collabs Between Indies and AAA Studios
One of the key takeaways from the event was a recap on the Audience Award Grand Prix Winners, Esophaguys Team, in which Daichi Miura called for larger studios and corporations to support indie developers and gave an insight as to how fostering innovation within the indie scene is important for the gaming industry.
Taiyo Tanabe Closing Remarks A Tribute to Resilience
In his closing remarks, Tanabe once again extended his gratitude to the sponsors, attendees and everyone who made the Tokyo Game Show 2024 a success. He acknowledged the power of games to unite people and reflected on the challenges that the gaming industry faced during the COVID 19 pandemic. Tanabe spoke about how the industry has adapted and thrived since then and how games have the power to bring people together during difficult times.
