The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales has been confirmed to release on the Nintendo Switch 2 in 2026, as was announced during the Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase that aired on July 31, 2025. With the Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase's conclusion, a demo is now available to play through the Nintendo e-Shop.
This new HD-2D action-RPG from Square Enix (Octopath Traveler, Bravely Default) puts players into the shoes of the titular Elliot, who goes on a journey in the continent of Philabieldia, a land overrun by beasts. Humanity's last bastion, the Kingdom of Huther, has been well-guarded with the help of the Spell of Safekeeping.
One fateful day, mysterious ruins have been discovered beyond the walls of the kingdom, and Elliot leaves to investigate. Alongside his fairy companion Faie, they venture into the wide world, going on a journey that spans over a thousand years with the power of time travel.
Combat-wise, Elliot is able to choose and master between seven different weapons, as well as equippable Magicite to further power his attacks and abilities. Faie is not just your companion, but she can also pack a punch when she needs to, staying dutifully by Elliot's side. Two-player co-op is also available, where both Elliot and Faie can be controlled simultaneously.
