Silent Hill f is the Perfect Spinoff for Newcomers

Image

Silent Hill f is a standalone game that is perfect for newcomers in the series. Read on to learn more about how the game fits into the franchise and its upcoming panel at the Anime Expo 2025.

Silent Hill f is an "Independent Work from the Series"

A Standalone Game That Can Be Enjoyed by Newcomers

Silent Hill fans wondered for some time where the upcoming Silent Hill f will fit in the timeline of the series, but a tweet from Konami posted to Twitter (X) on May 20 clarified that Silent Hill f is a standalone game outside of the main series, and as such can be enjoyed by newcomers.

Despite this, however, the developers previously still added subtle hints from past games in the game, as stated during the Silent Hill Transmission in March.

The connection between this game and the series’ titular town would be a difficult stretch as the original Silent Hill series was set in the 1990s USA, while Silent Hill f is set in 1960s Japan. Although Konami will be straying away from its classic setting, they reassured fans that they will bring the same psychological horror they are known for in this game.

Anime Expo 2025 Silent Hill f Panel

Fans will have to wait just a bit longer for more information as Silent Hill f will have a panel on the upcoming Anime Expo 2025. Anime Expo announced on Twitter (X) on May 21 that Konami will hold "Unmasking SILENT HILL f", which will include Producer Motoi Okamoto, Scriptwriter Ryukishi07, and Composer Akira Yamaoka in the panel.

The event will happen on July 4, from 3:15 PM to 4:05 PM at the Los Angeles Convention Center, California. Tickets for the show and registration for the panel are now available on Anime Expo’s post. There are no official announcements regarding the event being livestreamed.

Konami has been tight-lipped about Silent Hill f’s release date, and this event may give fans a hint on when the next title of the psychological survival horror franchise may come. Silent Hill f is now available for wishlist on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. To stay up to date with the latest information about Silent Hill f, click on our article below!
