⚫︎ NVIDIA unveiled new gameplay footage of the upcoming RPG from S-Game, Phantom Blade Zero. The video highlighted the game's visual brilliance, and confirmed that it will launch with ray tracing and DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation.

⚫︎ S-Game recently showcased 22 minutes of new gameplay for its upcoming hack-and-slash action RPG, Phantom Blade Zero, which is currently in development for PS5 and PC. The new footage highlights protagonist Soul's combat abilities, a variety of weapons, and several boss fights.
Notable weapons include "Seamless Death," a pair of bladed rings that can be used as homing projectiles. Players also got a look at new bosses like Wan Jun "Coppermaul," who wields a giant mace, and Red Wraith, a highly agile opponent.

⚫︎ Phantom Blade Zero Director Soulframe reiterated that the game is not a Soulslike, but rather a whole new genre he coined as "Wuxia Action." Moreover, he specified the three difficulty options the game will offer, furter distinguishing it from Soulslike games.

⚫︎ One Phantom Blade Zero developer received feedback that the game wasn’t difficult enough, and therefore they developed a hardcore difficulty mode that completely changes the enemy AI that makes them act like they’re being controlled by another player.

⚫︎ Phantom Blade Zero takes huge inspiration from FromSoft’s Souls game for its exploration mechanics, while it is heavily influenced by Resident Evil for its vibes such as aesthetic and ambience.
⚫︎ Though they take inspiration from past Souls games, Phantom Blade Zero devs are adamant that the game is not a soulslike, and instead wants to invoke the golde age of the PS1 and PS2 through combat inspired by Kung Fu movies.

⚫︎ Soulframe, the developer of Phantom Blade Zero, recognizes the pressure of Chinese-made games to be of the highest quality due to the massive success of Black Myth: Wukong, but in addition points out how now everyone sees the potential of Chinese games to sell well over 30 million copies.
