Version 1.0 Coming in 2026
Palworld will officially release its version 1.0 in 2026. In a post on Palworld’s official Twitter (X) on September 16, Palworld’s Communication Director and Publishing Manager, Bucky, announced that the game is leaving early access and will be gearing up for its official launch next year.
The monster-taming action-adventure game was first released in early access in January 2024 and has since undergone multiple updates, with its latest version, 0.6, featuring a collaboration with Terraria. While the team has many ideas for the game’s content, Bucky admitted that they have to clean up its "quirks and jank" before exiting early access.
A Little Quiet For The Rest of 2025
With their ultimate goal of the game’s full release in 2026, upcoming updates for the rest of 2025 will be smaller compared to previous ones. According to Bucky, their Winter update will not be as big as the Feybreak update in version 0.4, as the team will be "taking this extra time to improve the game overall."
However, he stated that developer Pocketpair will continue to deliver substantial improvements to the game this winter and will provide more information at a later date. They emphasized that the development of Palworld is not slowing down or scaling back.
"Palworld 1.0 will be a major milestone for us, and we have a truly massive amount of content planned for the 1.0 update. Rather than rushing it, we believe that laying the right foundation now will lead to a better game in the end," Bucky said.
Pocketpair Beyond Palworld
Another aspect of the company highlighted in the video is Pocket Pair Publishing (PPP), an initiative aimed at helping indie games get made. Bucky stated that PPP continues to support developers in their endeavor to produce games.
Additionally, he revealed that Pocketpair is working on other projects, but assured fans that their main focus is currently on Palworld. More information about these games and projects will be shared in the near future.
