The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales Launches on Switch 2 in 2026
The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales is a new HD 2D action RPG from Square Enix, featuring a grand adventure that spans a thousand years. Journey through the land of Philabieldia, which is ruled by different beast tribes, with humanity clinging on to the Spell of Safekeeping to keep the monsters out of the last bastion, the Kingdom of Huther.
Explore in a top-down open world as Elliot the Adventurer, alongside his companion Faie, the Fairy. Together, they must set out beyond the kingdom’s protection and take on perilous paths that lead to foes aiming to take them down.
Cycle through different weapons such as swords, bows, chains, and sickles, and more to defeat enemies. Faie can also help out in the heat of battle as players can command her with Fairy Actions to turn the tide in their favor.
Additionally, the game features a multiplayer function where players can choose to control either Elliot or Faie, offering a unique experience in co-op. The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales is set to be released in 2026 for the Switch 2. Its demo is also available after the Nintendo Direct
Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment Arrives This Winter 2025
Step back into the past of The Legend of Zelda universe in Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment with a new trailer showing a sneak peek of canonical events that transpired before Tears of the Kingdom. Experience the thrill of battle as Princess Zelda, King Rauru, and other characters who have all allied together for the sake of Hyrule’s future.
Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment is set to arrive on the Nintendo Switch 2 in Winter 2025, with a specific release date yet to be announced.
Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection Coming in 2026
Revealed through a short trailer, the newest installment in the Monster Hunter series, Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection, is set to release on the Nintendo Switch 2 in 2026.
Players take on the role of the heir of Azuria, the hero and the sole Rathalos Rider in the kingdom, whose journey takes them far beyond the reaches of their continent, Meridian. With their world riddled with strange phenomena and the looming threat of impending calamity, the hero, along with Eleanor, the princess of rival nation Vermeil, take on fate and save humanity and the monsters as they know them.

Once Upon a KATAMARI is the latest entry in the KATAMARI Damacy series. Roll through different historic eras, such as Edo Japan and even prehistoric times, to restore the universe. Use power-ups to push your way through obstacles and make your Katamari huge.
Customize the prince and his cousins’ looks to roll out with style. Play online with friends and compete to see who has the biggest Katamari. Once Upon a KATAMARI is set to be released on October 24, 2025, for the Nintendo Switch.
Just Dance 2026 Edition Jazzes it up This October
Just Dance 2026 Edition is the eighteenth main installment in Ubisoft’s long-running dance-rhythm series. The game was officially revealed via a premature listing on the Japanese Nintendo Switch news tab on July 17, with a release set for October 21. The official release, however, will be coming a week early, on October 14.
This edition introduces a fourth annual song-pack for the Just Dance service. The initially confirmed five songs include "All Star" by Smash Mouth, "APT.T" by Rosé and Bruno Mars, "Counting Stars" by OneRepublic, "Houdini" by Dua Lipa, and "Hung Up" by Madonna.
As in previous editions, players will be following on-screen choreographed routines via the Joy-Con 2 controllers, while all owners share access to a unified Just Dance+ online platform for cross-play and ongoing seasonal updates.

Chill by the Fire in Chillin by the Fire Today!
Chillin by the Fire is a cozy campfire simulation game, shadow-dropped today for the Nintendo Switch 2. Here, players build and maintain fires across relaxing environments like beaches, forests, snowy peaks, and more. Gameplay appears to revolve around closely managing wood moisture, airflow, and fire growth toward a strong fire, with modes including normal, survival (which just means limited wood), and a four-player Playground race.
The title supports online or local multiplayer via GameShare and features optional USB-C camera integration so players can appear in-game during sessions with Campfire Convo prompts. The game is currently available for purchase for only $15!

Persona 3 Reload Heads to the Nintendo Switch 2 This October!
Persona 3 Reload is heading to the Nintendo Switch 2 this October 23, 2025! The game was previously launched on February 2, 2024, for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Now that it is heading to the Nintendo Switch 2, it is expected to bring the modernized remake of the 2006 classic, including the post-game story—Episode Aigis: The Answer—to Nintendo’s latest console.
Here, players will dive into the dual lives of a high school student, as they navigate social bonds by day and battle Shadows in the towering labyrinth of Tartarus during the Dark Hour at night. Notably, the remake includes fully voiced social links, new Linked Episodes for male S.E.E.S. members, and combat mechanics such as Shift and Theurgy.
Dragon Ball Sparking Zero Coming to Switch and Switch 2
Relive iconic Dragon Ball stories in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero, now coming to Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 on November 14, 2025. Pre-orders will be available after the conclusion of the showcase.
Battle beyond the limits and unleash your fighting spirit in this arena battler with over 180 fighters to choose from, either replaying events of the Dragon Ball universe or forge your own path by experiencing alternate versions of those encounters.
Create your own scenarios with Custom Battle Mode by choosing the fighters, scenarios, and even the dialogue, which can then be shared online to fellow enthusiasts. Take it up a notch by immersing yourself in the characters with the Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 motion controls!
Yakuza Kiwami 2 Releases on November 13
Take the streets of Kamurocho and Sotenbori and live out the dangerous, yet exciting life of a Yakuza in Yakuza Kiwami 2. Witness the former dragon of Dojima, Kazuma Kiryu, face off against the dragon of Kansai, Ryuji Goda, in an all-out war where one dragon can only stand at the top.
Walk down through the perilous city and take out the goons in action-packed brawls using your fists, weapons, and everything you can see. Beyond fighting, you can enjoy other activities such as darts, karaoke, golf, and much more.
Yakuza Kiwami 2 launches on November 13 on the Switch 2. Meanwhile, the first game of the Kiwami series, Yakuza Kiwami, will also release on the same day. A digital bundle containing both titles will be available.
Star Wars Outlaws Launches on the Nintendo Switch 2 This September
Star Wars Outlaws is heading to Nintendo’s latest console this September 4, 2025! Previously released on August 30, 2024 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, it is the first open-world Star Wars action-adventure game.
As Kay Vess, a scoundrel from the Outer Rim, players will be planning heists and engaging with syndicates alongside her companion Nix in a period between The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi.
The game is planned as a Game-Key card, which offers the Gold Edition bundled with the Wild Card and A Pirate’s Fortune story expansions plus cosmetic DLC. All of these for $60, which is $10 less than the standard edition on other platforms.
Apex Legends Coming to Nintendo Switch 2 in August
Apex Legends is coming to the Nintendo Switch 2 on August 5, 2025, along with a new season called Showdown. Round up your squadmates and engage in a massive 60-person Battle Royale mode across the Outlands and aim for the top.
In celebration of the game’s release on the console in August, players can now log onto their Nintendo Switch systems and grab an exclusive Legendary Pathfinder Skin called "P.A.T.H", which can be claimed until September 16th.

Third-person survival horror game Cronos: The New Dawn is set to release on the Nintendo Switch 2 on September 5. As seen through the gameplay footage revealed in the showcase, the game pits the very essence of time against you, where it is both your deadliest weapon and your worst enemy.
Survive the past of a crumbling 1980s Poland and the dire future, jumping to and fro time in order to stop nightmarish creatures from taking over the planet. The showcase trailer delved into the intricacies of its gameplay mechanics, where enemies are able to absorb corpses of their fallen brethren to make themselves even stronger.
FINAL FANTASY TACTICS: The Ivalice Chronicles Coming on September 30
A new reimagination of the classic tactics title comes forth with FINAL FANTASY TACTICS: The Ivalice Chronicles. Enjoy the beloved strategy RPG with all-new voice-overs and dialogue between characters, creating a whole new experience for all.
The game features new difficulty options, the ability to review story events, and much more. FINAL FANTASY TACTICS: The Ivalice Chronicles is coming on September 30 on the Nintendo Switch and Switch 2. Pre-orders begin later today on the Nintendo eShop.
EA Sports Madden NFL 26 Touches Down on August 14

EA Sports FC 26 Arrives This September 26
EA Sports FC 26 is slated for a worldwide release on September 26 of this year, with early access beginning September 19 for Ultimate Edition owners. It offers an overhauled gameplay experience built on community feedback that shapes. This equates to smarter AI and a new Playstyles system that shapes how teams play on the pitch. Aside from these, the game will also add Archetypes inspired by legendary players for the Career mode.
Manager Live Challenges will bring real-world storylines and mid-season scenarios to Career Mode, while Clubs mode will allow linking to up to three clubs for shared progression and a revamped goalkeeper role in Rush mode.
EA Sports FC 26 is licensed with over 750 clubs, 35+ leagues, and 20,000 players, including UEFA competitions and top women’s leagues.

With Hollow Knight: Silksong and its demo confirmed to be coming to Gamescom 2025 as a demo, fans speculate that it will soon reveal its release date or release window.
Elden Ring Tarnished Edition Information Reveal
Critically-acclaimed Soulslike title Elden Ring was previously announced earlier this year that the game will be coming to the Nintendo Switch 2 as an all-in-one package called Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition sometime in 2025. There is a chance that more information will be unveiled through this Partner Showcase, such as a trailer or a release window.
Switch 2 Ports and Game Upgrades
While the Switch 2 has backwards compatibility with games made for the Switch, some beloved games like The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and the Pokémon Scarlet/Violet have received Switch 2 upgrades already—hence, it’s not far off to say that many other games will be following suit. Fans are crossing their fingers for Switch 2 ports for games such as ATLUS mainstays Persona 3 Reload, Persona 5 Royal, and Metaphor: ReFantazio, to name a few.

The Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase is a special type of the Nintendo Direct live show series where a number of Nintendo publishing partners present information and announcements about third-party titles, with companies such as SEGA, Bandai Namco, Square Enix, Ubisoft, and other developers often appearing. The last Partner Showcase-focused Direct was held on February 21st, 2024, and revealed several games such as Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance, Unicorn Overlord, and Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time, among others.
