⚫︎ Ninja Gaiden 4's difficulty is still fair according to the developers amidst ongoing discussions surrounding Silksong's increased difficulty. The developers highlighted how enemies have equal footing with the players in terms of their attacks and defenses.

⚫︎ Ninja Gaiden 4 announced its upcoming DLC "The Two Masters," which is set to be released early 2026. The DLC will bring new weapons for Yakumo and Ryu, with new story content that takes place after the main story.

⚫︎ During the Xbox Tokyo Game Show 2025 broadcast, Ninja Gaiden 4 revealed new difficulty modes: Hero Mode for accessible play, and the challenging Master Ninja Mode, unlocked after clearing the story. Within Master Ninja Mode, players can also take on the brutal Death Wish sub-mode for an even greater test of skill.

⚫︎ Team Ninja Co-Director Masazaku Hirayama confirmed that there will be robust content for Ryu Hayabusa in Ninja Gaiden 4 despite having new protagonist Yakumo take the lead. The game also features the Chapter Challenge mode where players can play different chapters using either Yakumo or Ryu.

⚫︎ Ninja Gaiden 4 introduces Hero Mode, a setting with auto assist features for dodging and guarding, to make the game easier for newer players. Once newer players get the hang of the game's different systems, they have the option of disabling the assist features to get the normal and harder difficulties.
⚫︎ Ninja Gaiden 4 is heavily based on Ninja Gaiden 2's structure and game cycle, as revealed by developers from PlatinumGames. This basis comes with the return of the Ultimate Guidance technique that was first and last seen on Ninja Gaiden 2.
⚫︎ Developers from PlatinumGames revealed that Ninja Gaiden 4 took inspiration for its dark cyberpunk setting from iconic titles such as Blade Runner and Ghost in the Shell. The developers stated that Ninja Gaiden 4 will continue the sense of heaviness that was present in previous Ninja Gaiden games.
⚫︎ Ninja Gaiden 4 will feature new weapons for Ryu Hayabusa as part of its post-launch content, which is included in the game's Deluxe Edition. According to Team Ninja Director Masakazu Hirayama, more details regarding the DLC will be shared in the future.

As reported by Tech4Gamers, the company is hiring a game designer, and the listing highlights a preference for candidates with “experience in online action game development” and a background in “level design for online or open-world games.”

⚫︎ The partnership between Team NINJA and PlatinumGames on Ninja Gaiden 4 was initiated by Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer, according to the game's producer.
In a recent interview with Game Watch, Team NINJA producer Fumihiko Yasuda revealed that while the studio had long been interested in developing a new Ninja Gaiden title, it struggled to establish a clear path forward. The collaboration with PlatinumGames, now co-developing the upcoming installment, came at Spencer's suggestion.

⚫︎ During today’s Developer_Direct, Ninja Gaiden 4 was officially announced, marking the franchise’s first mainline entry in 13 years. Set to launch this fall, the new title is being co-developed by Team NINJA and PlatinumGames. The showcase also featured the surprise release of Ninja Gaiden 2 Black, a remastered version of the 2008 classic.
