Monster Hunter Wilds Joins Forces with KFC in Japan
Limited-Edition Packs Feature Palico Charms and In-Game Rewards

Monster Hunter Wilds developer Capcom has teamed up with KFC in Japan to launch special Collab Packs. These limited-edition sets come with codes to redeem exclusive in-game items inspired by the series’ beloved Palico companions.
The collaboration features two main chicken sets: the Feast Set and the Spice Up Set. Each bundle includes KFC’s Original Chicken, a biscuit, and small fries with unique in-game rewards. Larger upgrades of the meals add an extra piece of chicken and a bonus collaborative sticker sheet.

The Feast Set lets players redeem a Luxury Ingredient Set, a bundle of rare ingredients for campfire cooking in-game. It also includes an exclusive KFC Colonel Felyne charm, featuring a Felyne dressed as Colonel Sanders.
The Spice Up Set, meanwhile, allows players to redeem a Hunting Item Set, containing consumable items for use while hunting monsters. It also comes with an exclusive KFC Barrel Felyne charm, featuring a Felyne sitting in a bucket of KFC chicken.

Customers who order the collaboration sets through KFC Online in Japan will also be entered into a lottery. Twenty winners will receive a hoodie emblazoned with the phrase, "it’s finger lickin’ WILD!!", while 200 winners will receive a Palico Pass Case, a travel card holder featuring a Felyne Colonel Sanders design.
Additionally, four select KFC locations in Japan—Takadanobaba and Akihabara in Tokyo, and Nankai Namba Station and Abeno Q’s Mall in Osaka—are designated as special collaboration stores. These locations will feature life-sized character panels and music from the game.
Soft Sales Set the Stage for KFC Collaboration

This collaboration, following a previous crossover with Final Fantasy XIV in Title Update 3 featuring Omega Planetes, comes shortly after an interview with Nikkei Gaming, in which the "PS5 Barrier" was cited as one reason for the game’s dwindling sales. Capcom’s Q2 2025 financial report also noted that Monster Hunter Wilds has experienced "soft sales," barely surpassing its predecessor, Monster Hunter Rise, which continues to see steady growth.
The collaboration is Japan-exclusive, with pre-orders available through the KFC Net Order service from November 13 to November 18. The special packs will be available for purchase from November 19 to December 16, 2025. For more information about Monster Hunter Wilds, check out our article below!
