Metal Gear Solid Delta TGS Demo Showcase

The TGS Demo was showcased during a livestream, where the functionality of being able to change the title screen colors and filters is back. The game was played using the remaster’s New Style, which uses an over-the-shoulder camera and has a third-person shooter perspective when aiming your weapon. Snake himself has new and improved animations, with him being able to quickly shift from crouching to standing while moving, as well as the new animations for holding items and weapons in-game.

During the showcase, it was also apparent that the HUD was changed significantly. The HP and Stamina bars and the Camo Index are now placed on the bottom-center of the screen, as opposed to the way they were before on the upper-left side of the screen. It was also shown that cutscenes can now be paused and skipped even, as these were functions that were not available in the original release and the remasters as well.

It was also shown that Ga-Ko will be taking Kerotan’s place as the hidden mascot in the game, which you can shoot to make noise. These dolls will be dressed in different uniforms, where some might even wear ghillie suits so that they can blend in with the environment well.

Speaking of camouflage, a new function of being able to quickly change camo and face paint has been added to the game. The option to change your disguise is still available in the game’s Survival Viewer, but you now have another option to change into a different disguise while in-game so that the immersion doesn’t completely break. In the Survival Viewer menu, you can also open the backpack to set items in your inventory to your quick access menu, similar to how it was before.

It was also shown that there is a shortcut option to using the Codec’s quick call feature as opposed to before, where you’d have to go through a couple of menus just to access them. Lastly, it seems that transitioning between areas will prove to be the same as in the original game, where it fades to black instead of having seamless transitions between areas.

Metal Gear Solid Delta x GU Collaboration Releases on October 25, 2024!

Metal Gear Solid will be collaborating with clothing brand GU to release some Metal Gear-themed apparel. Various jackets, hoodies, sweaters, pants, and even socks will be available for purchase on October 25, 2024. It was also announced that these will be available at a later date for different countries, while orders will also be available online through their website.

Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol. 1 Version 2.0 Updates

It was announced that the Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol. 1 will be having a massive update, which adds several quality-of-life changes. There will be added resolution settings that will be usable for Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, namely, Original mode which uses the game’s original textures, Adjusted mode which uses the HD remastered textures, and a Custom mode. Additionally, you will also be able to adjust keybinds for both keyboard and controller to add convenience.

Konami has already been hard at work promoting their newest remake, Metal Gear Solid Delta. We can expect more gameplay footage showing more of the game’s iconic characters, as they’ve already been revealed in the new trailers that were shown during the past few weeks.

Possible Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol. 2 Announcement

KONAMI has also entertained the possibility of having a second HD remake collection featuring the games after Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. Possible games to be included in this collection include Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops, Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker, Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, and more. It’s important to note that Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots is only available on the PS3, and a remaster of that game would mark its first re-release to different platforms.
