Marvel's Wolverine Release Date Was Announced at PlayStation State of Play September 2025
Releasing Fall 2026

Marvel's Wolverine just dropped new information during the PlayStation State of Play September 2025, which includes the game's release date. Realized by Insomniac Games, the studio behind the hit Marvel's Spiderman game series, this new title brings the brutality of Wolverine to the PlayStation.
The developers aim to capture the true essence of the hero based on the comics, presenting Wolverine as this "ball of rage and fury". His violence and visceral nature will be highlighted, taking on classic X-Men villains such as Omega Red, Mystique, and Sentinel.

Additionally, Insomnaic Games went all out with the gore using their advanced blood tech, doubling down on the viciousness of the game. Players will also travel across the world, which includes areas in Canada and Japan, where Logan will take his journey as Wolverine and fight against various enemies.
Played by Liam McIntyre, known for his work in the hit TV series Spartacus, James Logan Howlett, a.k.a. Wolverine, will stay true to what fans have known about the character. Fighting for the weak and showing no remorse for his foes, Wolverine will be portrayed in the light that is familiar, yet unique to the audience.
Marvel's Wolverine is set to be released in Fall 2026 exclusively on PlayStation 5. More information about the game will be shared by the developers in Spring 2026. To stay up to date with the latest information about the game, check out our article below!
