Helldivers 2 Siege Breakers Warbond Arrives February 3rd
Inside the New Siege Breakers Warbond
Helldivers 2 just dropped a trailer for their new Warbond "Siege Breakers" slated for a February 3 release, less than two weeks after the launch of the "Redacted Regiment" in the 22nd of January. This was a completely unexpected move by developer Arrowhead Studios, as players normally expect new Warbonds to drop 1-2 months after the previous one releases.
Warbonds are Helldivers 2’s version of a battle pass, offering new weapons and armor sets that players can unlock using Medals, unlockable by clearing missions and fulfilling Super Earth objectives. Warbonds can only be acquired using Super Credits, the game’s premium currency that are found on map stashes or purchasing it with real money in the in-game store. Each Warbond costs 1,000 Super Credits, equivalent to $10. Premium Warbonds with third-party crossovers, on the other hand, like the Killzone and Halo ODST collaborations, are priced at 1,500 Super Credits.
In a press release on the PlayStation Blog, Katherine Baskin, Social Media and Community Manager at Arrowhead Game Studios, stated that Siege Breakers offers a variety of weapons that expands the explosive firepower of Helldivers 2’s arsenal in the name of democracy. The most prominent addition to the premium Warbond is the CQC-20 Breaching Hammer, a Stratagem designed for close-ranged encounters. With an explosive charge attached to its head, a Helldiver would only need to take one swing to blow up massive enemies like the Automaton Hulk or a Terminid Charger.

For bigger explosions, the GL-28 Belt-Fed Grenade Launcher is a standard weapon built for "non-stop, explosive barrage." The EAT-411 Leveller, however, is the Warbond’s answer to more managed democracy, firing one high-powered missile that resembles that of Fallout’s iconic Nuka-Nuke Launcher. Lastly, for traditional shootouts, the LAS-16 Trident, a laser-powered shotgun firing six beams.
The Siege Breakers Warbond not only includes a plethora of destructive armaments. One defensive Stratagem is also part of the collection: the G/SH-39 Shield is a throwable emplacement that protects players and its allies inside a small barrier, blocking incoming bullets from Automaton threats.

Apart from weapon Stratagems, the Siege Breakers premium Warbond also includes new armors and capes. The heavy SA-8 Ram Armor coats the Helldiver with blast shields, whereas the SA-7 Headfirst medium armor "that allows for the flexibility and speed you might need to get past the roadblock." Both armors have a new passive called "Supplementary Adrenaline," allowing Helldivers to regain stamina when taken damage.
Other cosmetics found in the Siege Breakers premium Warbond are two capes: Rags of the Fashionable and Wedgeful Tricorn, which according to the same PlayStation blog post, are symbols detailing a Helldivers’ former glory in previous sieges.
The Siege Breakers Warbond also includes additional cosmetics:
⚫︎ Churned Earth Patterns for FRV, Shuttle, Exo-Suit and Hellpod
⚫︎ Rags of the Fashionable & Wedgeful Tricorn Player Banners
⚫︎ "Display of Braw" Emote
⚫︎ "Bunker Buster" Player Title
A Potential Fourth Faction is Coming

The Warbond was not the only surprise Arrowhead has for its growing Helldivers 2 community. In the reveal trailer’s 1:46 mark, a "Confidential" transmission was briefly seen, showing what appears to be an injured Helldiver being dragged by something. The footage abruptly ends, leaving the Helldivers' fate unknown.
Fans began to speculate that this is Arrowhead teasing its fourth faction: the Cyborgs. They are essentially one of the original enemy factions in the first Helldivers game. These are sentient machines who dedicate their entire lives to topple Super Earth’s hegemonic ambitions.
It remains unclear whether Arrowhead plans to release the Cyborgs in the first half of 2026, but the speedy release of another Warbond not long after the Redacted Regiment could suggest the studio is preparing Helldivers for more dangerous threats. The Cyborgs’ rumored arrival may be where these new weapons are put to the test.
