Borderlands Release SHiFT Code For Free In-Game Keys

3 Golden or Skeleton Keys for Any Existing Borderlands Game

Borderlands fans are in for a treat as Borderlands developer Gearbox dropped a new SHiFT code, giving players three Golden Keys or Skeleton Keys per Borderlands game. As shown in the tweet above, Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford posted the code on his official X (Twitter) account, wishing players "Good luck, and happy looting!"

The code, SRFTJ-Z9BR3-3J3TJ-JT3JT-RS6C5, can be redeemed in-game or on the official Gearbox SHiFT website until March 27th, 10 AM EDT / 7 AM PDT. This code is eligible for redemption on the following games:

⚫︎ Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition
 ⚫︎ Borderlands 2
 ⚫︎ Borderlands 3
 ⚫︎ Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel
 ⚫︎ Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands

Additionally, the good news is that the same code can be used on all games, bringing in a grand total of 15 Golden or Skeleton Keys up for grabs just by simply inputting the code.

This seemingly random drop may not be just for the fun of it—Gearbox is known for releasing free SHiFT codes quite frequently, such as during game anniversaries, and most especially when a release for the series is coming real soon.

With that said, Borderlands 4 is slated for release on September 23rd, 2025, a year after it was first announced in Gamescom. It’s the newest installment in the acclaimed series, and it promises "intense action, badass Vault Hunters, and billions of wild and deadly weapons" on a whole new planet called Kairos that has yet to be seen in the game’s universe. However, this planet is ruled by the Timekeeper, an oppressive and ruthless dictator. Ignite a resistance and blast your way through, wreaking havoc and rebelling against his forces and the world-altering catastrophe that awaits.
