NIS America Announces Simultaneous Western and Japanese Launch
Etrange Overlord will release in the West on March 26, 2026, alongside the Japanese launch. Players everywhere can now dive into the game’s story, characters, and signature combat without waiting months for a localization.
Publisher NIS America has confirmed that the game will be available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. The game was initially announced for Japan, with only a tentative early‑2026 window for the Western release, so the confirmation of an exact release date is welcome news for international players.
For Western players, the game will feature Japanese voice-overs with English and French subtitles on consoles. The Steam version expands that support to include English, French, and Japanese text options. The story follows Étrange von Rosenburg, a duke’s daughter who is falsely accused of assassinating the king. Her execution is swift — but instead of dying, she wakes up in hell. Faced with chaos, demons, and danger, Étrange decides that if she’s stuck in the underworld, she might as well take charge of it.
